Message: How to Treat God's Creation
God has created a beautiful world. Yet there are times when we take the beauty he has shared with us and corrupted it. In today’s scripture reading we read about corruption in God’s holy temple. There are moneychangers there so that people have to pay money to change their money so they can buy things in the temple. This is one of the moments where Jesus becomes upset.
The scriptures remind us to remember the beauty of God’s creation and to treat it with respect. That includes treating ourselves and our neighbors as the beautiful creation that God has created us to be. There are times in our lives when we corrupt ourselves with sin, but God is always there to remind us that He loves us, and we are beautiful in His sight.
Time of Prayer
Dear Lord, thank you for all of Your creation. Help us to remember to treat all of Your creation with love and respect. When we sin or treat Your creation poorly, remind us of Your love and glory. Forgive us, and help us to treat everything with the love and kindness that it deserves. Amen

Closing Hymn
Now Thank We All Our God (Red Hymnal 102)
May the Lord bless you and keep you: May the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious unto you: May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace." Amen.
Go in peace, serve the Lord
Thanks be to God
